Addie harvest pictures

She catches scenes I do not, her eyes think differently than mine. I love when she shares moments of our lives.
Bruce and Andrea waiting for the driver. How they love time in the track.
Merle in the combine buddy seat.
It still awes me that those bags of seed turn into so many truck loads of corn. The kernels are different the water or moisture changes day by day. and it just keeps coming row after row.

Greg at the helm. We are so fortunate to be so immersed in nature and the management of a piece of the earth day after day.
Lights allow for work to go on and on and on.
I'm working to learn the secrets and benefits of compost. I have been piling for a year now but didn't understand my ratios and needed to add much more water. This was Monday's pile. We worked on it again on Saturday a happy mouse had made a hole in it. I don't think that is desireable hopefully we got the debris wet enough to start heating to an uncomfortable temperature for the mouse.
All covered up to keep the water in. This is hard to do with the hot days we have had.
Lia was so happy when she noticed the leaves falling on Monday. All week they raked and raked and jumped again and again. This was such a playful week for them.
The finished wall. Addie decreed we must improve our home. I agreed and we began the multi-step process and Monday I finished painting.
More painting and playing with cousins this time.
Hoping and waiting for rides.
Merle had found corn on the ground and put it in his pocket. HE gave an ear to Andrea when he got back. We sing about Where or where is sweet little Merle Man? Way out yonder in the corn field. Picking up corn and putting it in his pocket...a variation of a song my grandmother use to sing to me about papas. I didn't know what that was then but I think it may have been referencing potatoes?
These two love when they get to be together especially just riding around on the four-wheeler.

Life is good and we are blessed with plenty of work, and space to be challenged and grow.
