The last sweet corn of the year. We are so thankful to have such good farmers who share. Addie and Reed prepared for the day of pink during homecoming spirit dress-up week. Grandma Corn provided the pink apparel.
Merle was sad one Sunday in his primary class. He told his teacher he was hungry but his parents ate all the eggs from breakfast and he didn't get any food. I made sure to make him eggs for breakfast the next day. I took a picture and shared that we fed him on Monday. (We had fed him Sunday he just didn't want to eat them Sunday).
Addie wanted to take flowers to a teacher. She loves to share some happiness and recognition ith others. The huge football gear bag that is a badge of honor for young men at school.
I've been working to limit sugar consumption here, the kids have resorted to just eating sugar from the spoon. I found these around the kitchen.
I was surprised by this bouquet of flowers. The card had no name but said thank you for feeding my grandsons. I have a guess but ma not sure. I enjoyed the flowers for over a week.
Sometimes I draw pictures for Lia while we do school. She is doing well with her reading.
Andrea has long wanted to have her hair done but has lacked the hair to tie up. She was so happy this day to wear a pony tail.
We went to watch Reed play Ontario and near the end of the game an Ontario player got his leg broken.
It's sad to see the kids get so hurt. I wish Vale would show respect and take a knee.
When I got home Andrea was whiney but I didn't know why. Later that night when Andrea was in bed Millie announced Andrea was missing a tooth. Indeed there is a hole in her mouth.
While going to the farm to get something I noticed how pretty Lia's hair looked blowing in the breeze.
I finished up pears and had some tomatoes to make into sauce.
For activity days we finished with an airplane making activity with the boys.
Anna came home from the Bar T the kids were happy to see her and happy to show they are taller than her.
Sometimes ignorant people ask me if I even know all my kids names and if I can keep them straight. I respond of course I mess up their names but yes I know their individual talents and personalities. Each one is unique and working to become themself not some pre-form expectation. I'm thankful for the many different personalities and interests we get to pursue as each child grows up.
Life is good and we are blessed.
