We had a big event at the beginning of September. Bruce got baptized! He was lucky to get baptized in the month of his birthday. He was pretty excited. Greg had gone to a neighbor's to help with her yard and was working and working. We had to leave to be in time for the ordinance so Mark got ready very reluctantly and we headed to the stake center. Mark and Bruce got suited up and posed for a quick picture.
Greg showed up in time for the opening prayer. We had a nice service Mark performed the baptism then Greg gave the blessing to give Bruce the holy ghost. After that we went to my parents for a pizza lunch. The cousins were able to join us it was a fun celebration of Bruce.
Bruce also got his quillow from Grandma Saunders. He was delighted with both events. Merle is holding a sword Bruce had made in activity days. These two are so fun together. Merle does just fine with Bruce gone to school but when he comes home they go straight to playing.
I am thankful for another child who has made their own baptismal covenants. These are special days, I'm thankful Greg made it in time. Bruce sure loves the nightly stories his dad tells him. They are close, I'm surprised what I learn from those stories. He's a great dad who really enjoys his time with each of these kids. We are blessed.
