9.7.22 Anniversary Celebration

We snuck or rushed to a pretty special party a few weeks ago. My in-laws 50th anniversary. We attended the temple with them. It was pretty special to be together in  such a special place with such strong promises.
Brenda and Sheryl had worked hard on the treats. Aunt Krisit dreamed up the rest and Crystal graciously hosted over 100 for the party.
While we waited the boys were anxiously engaged in establishing who is the strongest.

Uncle Matt kept tabs and helped watch over all that energy.
Some of the group watching a speech.

Attention getting to quiet and calm the crowd. I'm guessing Aliza was leading this as this is her specialty.
A very rare moment together. For about 2 hours we relaxed then the stress was back-on as we found the workers at home had enjoyed a break too so the work was piled up instead of completed.

Fun to see cousins.

Bruce squares off against Trenton looks like he is winning.
Everyone got cake!
Emery, Mary, Claire, Millie
Alivia and Emelynn

They have a large yard with all kinds of activity options. It was a gorgeous day filled with a special reverence for being a part of the family.

Andrea loves to interact and was chatting away with Aunt Monica.
Sue, Owen, Jay, Marilla
Lloyd and Vivian.
A special hit is Uncle Kevin's soft serve ice cream machine. The line is long for such a sweet treat!
I was so happy to get this picture when I got home from Harold. He too had been in the temple with a convert friend. I'm so thankful my kids want to be in the temple.
Family is a precious experience. I'm thankful for the wisdom and promises gained in the temple of God. I'm thankful for the friendships and lessons learned through trial and error. I'm thankful for forgiveness and shared experiences. Life is good and we are truly blessed.
